Story
Cheers for taking time out of your day to visit my JustGiving page and possibly donating!
As most of you will know, I've been on a weightloss mission over the last couple of years and have completely changed my life. Since embarking on this journey, I've accomplished many things I never thought would be possible, and most of them involve running! When I started this I could run (lol) for about 90 seconds at a time, and I plan on culminating with the ultimate challenge of running 26.2 miles! This page is dedicated to this challenge as it will be the toughest thing I've ever faced, however I am planning on completing other, smaller challenges along the way that hopefully will also inspire you to donate to this great charity!
If you're unaware of the Royal National Institute of Blind People, they're a fantastic charity that help both people that were born blind with everyday life, and people that lose their vision come to terms with that and adjust to their new reality on a day-to-day basis. Running for RNIB was inspired by my colleague Mark who, a couple of years ago, lost 90% of his vision. He runs the London Marathon and all sorts every year for the charity that have helped him get to grips with life and the man is an inspiration! I'm honoured to have been given a place to represent him and his charity in conjunction with my own ambitions.
Thanks to everybody that donated, it's all greatly appreciated and I'm always overwhelmed by all of your support and as a wise man once said (or was it Tesco?); every little helps!
