Never let it be said that the team here at The Portman Estate do not welcome a challenge. This year, we have upped our game and have set the challenge of walking from Ascot to Buckingham Palace, with a few royal stop-offs along the way! 

On Wednesday 20 - Thursday 21 September 2017, our daring team will take on the challenge to walk 1000 miles collectively  - by completing either 50, 30, 15, 10 or 5 miles each, raising money and awareness for our corporate charity partner, Carers Network.

Every pound we raise will go towards services and facilities for Carers Network. By reaching each of our targets, we could fund:

• a memorable Christmas Party for 250 unpaid carers = £5,000
• 400 unpaid carers to attend workshops on important issues such as having a will in place = £10,000
• the expansion of the unique carers time bank project that helps carers to share skills and support each other = £15,000

If we could double our online target to £30,000 we could fund specialist support to 105 carers who are looking after a loved one approaching the end of their life.
