Story
The health crisis has hit our income hard. Lockdown halted the fundraising events we rely on to power our lifesaving service and our ability to raise funds through traditional methods has been limited. Yet Porthcawl's volunteer lifeboat crew has never stopped being on call 24/7 throughout the coronavirus pandemic, ready and willing to save lives.
As restrictions continue to ease we are anticipating a very busy summer ahead for our volunteer crew. The average lifeboat station in Wales costs £155,000 to run and we are going to have a significant shortfall in income this year due to the Coronavirus.
We continue to provide a live stream view of Porthcawl's breakwater via our website - if you enjoy the view a donation will help towards the running costs of our RNLI lifeboat station.
With your support, our crew will always be ready, right now and in the future.
