Scottish Poppy Appeal 2020
Campaign by poppyscotland (RCN SC014096)
The Scottish Poppy Appeal is Poppyscotland's largest fundraising campaign which takes place annually in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday in November. Money raised provides vital life-changing support for the Armed Forces community in Scotland.

Story

Poppyscotland reach out to those who have served, those still serving, and their families at times of crisis and need by offering vital, practical advice, assistance and funding. We believe that those who serve or have served, whether regular or reserve, are deserving of our support to live life fully without disadvantage after service. No veteran should live without the prospect of employment, good health and a home, and we all have a part to play in achieving this.

We are best known for running the iconic Scottish Poppy Appeal, but we fundraise all year round which enables us to provide a wide range of welfare services to enhance the lives of those who have served in our Armed Forces and their families. The Scottish Poppy Appeal raises
over £2 million each year. Covid19 means that the Poppy Appeal will be very different this year and our Welfare Services team is being creative to do all that we can to support this year’s Appeal.  From our Head of Welfare walking 10km a day for 23 days, another staff member is committing to cycling 10 miles a day for 30 days, we have raffles, coffee mornings, quiz nights and a relay where members of the Welfare team will take snippets of each 5km and create a video, no stone is being left unturned.  We literally are going the extra mile and would be really grateful for your support.
