Story
Hello , I am so excited to be writing this and being given the opportunity to raise money for such an amazing charity.
I have been racing in the Shetland Pony Grand National for 13 months now. Last year I raced for a team and was given the chance to do qualifiers, but unfortunately I never qualified.I spent a lot of the year on my bum having fallen off, and I didnt win a race all year.
But this year has kicked off with a bang! I have my own pony, Merkisayre Sea Duble, whom I have brought on myself from a nervous pony to the superstar he is today. We have been racing very successfully this year at some amazing venues including Badminton Horse Trials and Royal Windsor Horse Show and we have had many wins.
Our greatest win to date was at South of England Agricultural Show where we won the first qualifying race, giving us a place racing at the London Olympia Horse Show in December.
As a team we travel the Country racing, with the goal of winning one of 11 places at London Olympia Horse Show.
As well as having fun, more importantly we raise money along the way for Bob Champion Cancer Trust...which is where you come in!
Each jockey who has qualified to race at Olympia has to raise as much money as they can for the charity. A cheque will be presented to Bob Champion at London Olympia Horse Show in December after one of the races.
So please dig deep and donate to my page. Every penny raised goes to the charity and their fight to find a cure for cancer and support people on their journeys.
Thank you to my sponsors Star Events, The Goring Hotel , Dinky Rugs and Equine Zeo for all the support and help you have given to me and Duble.
Thank you so much for visiting my page and if you get the chance to come and support us at Olympia we would love to see you! Its a fantastic show and worth the price of a ticket.
