Story

This year, my New Years resolution was to do more for charity! I have signed up for 3 separate events and aim to raise over £1,000 by my birthday (4th July 2019). The three events I have signed up for are;

1) Muddy Dog Challenge (13th April)
2) Bridport half-marathon (5th May)
3) Brave The Shave (4th July)

I will also take part/run smaller events across the next 6 months!

The money that I raise will be donated to Rainbow Trust Childrens Charity! To find out more about my chosen charity, follow this link: https://rainbowtrust.org.uk

Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care (University of Leeds, 2011). Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’. However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis.

Rainbow Trust Children's Charity enables families who have a child with a life threatening illness to make the most of precious time together; providing expert practical and emotional support, where they need it, for as long as it is needed. £26 will provide one hour of care, enough time to entertain a seriously ill child so that their parents can have a break.

I am fortunate enough to be part of a loving healthy family. I want to help all those families who are not fortunate like me, have the opportunity to make the most of their time together.

Any donation would be hugely appreciated! Keep an eye out for updates across the next 6 months!
