Story
I will be completing the London Marathon this year, raising money for a charity close to my heart - SHP.
During lockdown of 2020, I was lucky enough to work with SHP for a period, where I was able to see first hand the great work they do for members of our community. I couldn't imagine a better group to be running for!
The London Marathon will be my first Marathon distance race and I am so grateful for the opportunity to take part.
A little about SHP -
Each day across all 32 London boroughs, our staff work with individuals to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness. Here is how your donation can help:
Every £10 could help fund an emergency parcel for rough sleepers coming off the streets of London.
Every £50 could help our teams working to prevent homeless by funding an energy top up, helping someone keep the lights on and get through the cost of living crisis
Every £100 could help a Londoner like Simon get 1-2-1 employment support to retrain, bag their dream job and leave homelessness behind for good.
For every pound donated – 90p will go straight to the frontline helping people facing or experiencing homelessness.
SHP are also working to prevent homelessness now more than ever during an energy and cost of living crisis, by setting up help and funding for those as risk of becoming homeless!
