Story

Notting Hill Genesis is a charity which houses 70,000 people across London, in hostels for street homeless, supported schemes for young and older vulnerable people, social rented homes and many other types of housing. I have seen the real difference they can make as we work with them on a number of great projects at Quod, my place of work.

This will be my first marathon and training is going well so far. I am running four times a week including every Monday at Tooting run club (rain or shine!).

I hope you can help me achieve my goal of getting to the finish line of the London Marathon and, more importantly, raising as much money as we can for this great cause.

Thank you very much for any donation you can make.

Please let me know if you are planning to watch on the day and I'll keep an eye out for you.

I will be running the London Marathon 2022 with my friend Phoebe who has chosen to fundraise for Age UK. You can also sponsor her here if you would like:  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/phoeberuns-26-2-for-ageuk

Thank you.

Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) works in the community, providing homes for lower-income households. This is our primary purpose, and everything else we do supports that aim. Money raised through fundraising contributes to our hardship fund, helping residents during times of hardship and crisis. Sadly, many of our residents struggle to meet basic food and energy costs or pay for essential household items such as beds, fridges, and cookers. This is often due to vulnerability, ill-health, family bereavement or unexpected gaps in benefit claims. Our hardship fund supports around 500 NHG residents per year during these difficult times, with grants to help ease stress and suffering.
