Story
Ty Hafan, Wales leading childrens charity and hospice opened its doors 21 years ago and has been supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families ever since. This has included one of our own much loved pupils, Thomas.
Thomas's classmates are now Year 6 and it is incredibly important to them that they do this before they leave.
They have organised a whole school fundraiser. We are adding up all the miles we run or walk during our Daily Mile this term with the aim of covering the distance around Great Britain by the end of July. Along the way, Year 6 are tracking the places we (virtually) reach at the end of each week. We are having a new shelter built in school which will be dedicated to the memory of Thomas and a mural will be painted, comprising of images around the UK to mark our efforts.
Ty Hafan is independent from the NHS and has no guaranteed statutory funding. It offers the only children's hospice service in South Wales.
Donations will help to ensure that future children and families will be given the help, care and support they need.
