Hi guys,
On March the 1st I am attempting to run The Vitality half Marathon in London. As most of you are aware... I don’t run... unless there is some kind of round bouncy ball to chase, so this is indeed a big challenge for me.
But it is nowhere near the challenge that Joey the Superboy has to endure every day of his life. And because of Joey and his needs... I am running this race for him and am hoping you guys will donate generously to his cause.
Joey Jenkins is the son of my very good friend Chris. Joey is a fabulous 6 year old boy, who despite all his troubles, still smiles brightly every day.
Joey has severe epilepsy. He can't walk, sit unaided or communicate verbally. He is peg fed and has a VNS; a pace maker for his brain, which helps manage his seizures. He has a life threatening condition and has a genetic condition that is so rare it hasn't been found yet but a neurotransmitter transmitter disease is being tested. He has had numerous operations which have helped to manage his condition, however he really needs financial help to buy essential equipment for the home. This equipment will enable Joey to have the best life he can despite his condition and to keep him happy and comfortable.
So, kind friends... if you could please donate to this super cool, happy smiley boy, you will be helping him to enjoy his days at home so much more.
I really appreciate it, as I know will all the family: Chris, Ceri, Joey, Jake, Eve and Lewis x
