Story

Hey guys, its Pollyanna here. I am 21 years old and was born
deaf so got 2 cochlear implants. I am taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon on 23rd April 2023 and am fundraising for SignHealth charity.

I’m so excited to be doing this for charity. The reason for it
was because my sister Ellie and cousin Dawn have done it and I am inspired! I was
so proud of them and felt..it was my time to do it! I couldn’t sit still around while they made the effort for a great cause - SignHealth means a lot to me because they support deaf community using our language and to make sure we have someone understanding in our world.

We are all raising money for SignHealth because we believe in
their mission of improving the health and well-being of Deaf people. SignHealthhas been supporting the Deaf community for over 35 years and provides thesefantastic BSL (British Sign Language) services in Psychological Therapies, Domestic Abuse and Social Care. Its going to be a big challenge to achieve the 26.2 miles and I will be training hard over the next six months to reach this goal. Please support me by. donating and sharing this page with your friends and
family. Any donation no matter how big or small will make a big difference to the work SignHealth does for the Deaf community. Thank you so much, your support is really appreciated :>
