If you know me, then you'll know running is not my favourite activity but I wanted to do something this year that would challenge me outside of my comfort zone, especially if by doing it I can help to raise money for an excellent cause. 

Yorkshire Children's Charity are a relatively new charity, launched on 1st January 2022 with the sole purpose of making things better for children living at a disadvantage across the region, be that due to sickness, disability, or financial deprivation. I am part of the Yorkshire Children's Charity team and being part of the fundraising efforts in 2022 was amazing.

We are a charity that asks our families how we can help as opposed to telling them what we will do, and we are only able to do this thanks to the support of the many incredible individuals and companies who have supported us. It is all too apparent how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting so many across the UK and we know how difficult it is for everyone, but for the families we support, the charitable sector is now their only hope.
