The David Hetherington Memorial Walk Of Hope will be held on Saturday 28th September 2019 in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, starting and finishing at The Last Drop bar and café next to the #arcelormittalorbit.
The finer details are being defined so keep an eye out for updated information as details are confirmed. Updates wiill be provided on this page and the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/powerofdavid
There will be two distances for the walk this year, 5k and 10k. The walk will be family friendly and fully accessible.
This walk is part of a series of Walks Of Hope being carried out on the same day across the country by supporters of the charity Brain Tumour Research.
We are looking for participants for the walk and request for all walkers to kindly obtain sponsorship to help the charity fund sustainable research into brain tumours with the aim to ultimately #findacure.
Remember, if you can’t make it physically to the London walk, you can still take part elsewhere on the same day. Share your pics with us and help fund the fight. Previous walks in Davids memory have been held across the globe! Power of David has no boundaries!
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
