Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to get down to the pool for Swimathon 2020 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.

Story

So you'll all be aware of the great Swimathon 2020 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes (Cancer Research & Marie Curie), one big charity challenge.

Cancer impacts on everyone - directly or indirectly - whether it be losing a loved one, suffering yourself or seeing the pain it causes to others.  So we all have to do our bit!

We've lost two family members in recent years to the illness and I have many friends who have suffered, are suffering or have family members who are.

I've done some positive things at work by setting up a support group for people impacted by cancer, but I always feel I can do more, so why not swim with my two cousins in TEAM DC.

DC stand for David Clayton - Beth's dad and our uncle, so we thought it fitting to fundraise in his name.

I've already started training and don't worry, by sponsoring me you won't be getting weekly updates or shots of me in different types of swimwear :-) (they are for people who donate £100 or more only).

I'm only asking for £2 per person (minimum you can donate here) and that way I should easily reach my target and if I get more that's a bonus too.
