Dear Pluck Supporters, 

The pandemic has hit the performing arts especially hard, taking away our ability to give you live performances in the beautiful theaters we call home. But if there’s one thing dancers are especially good at; it’s landing on our feet. As we say in the business, the show must go on! But, of course, it must go on safely.  

This year, in lieu of our traditional live showcase, “Emerging Choreographers”, the UNCSA dance seniors have had the opportunity to learn how to choreograph for the camera, direct, and even edit film. As a class, we rose to the challenge, and found new opportunities to expand our creative abilities through exploration and collaboration. The product of this: 18 gorgeous, entirely student made films which we are proud to share with all of you! 

As safety protocols advance, we aspire to find even more ways to create dance works safely in the spring. Your donations will support us in finding safe ways to bring dance performance to our community, and of course, they will support us in launching ourselves into the dance careers we have dreamt of and worked towards for many years!
