COMPETITION NOW CLOSED!
WE AIM TO INFORM THE FOUR WINNERS BEFORE XMAS AND SHIP THE PRIZES IN EARLY JANUARY. WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS ALSO ON OUR INSTAGRAM PAGE BEFORE XMAS - https://www.instagram.com/thonksynth/
These are ready built Plinkys, not DIY kits. Anyone worldwide can donate to enter.
THE REALLY, REALLY, IMPORTANT BIT IF YOU WANT TO WIN
You must tick the "I'm happy to share my contact details with ‘Plinkys for Pakistan’ for the purpose of thanking me" or you can't win!
------------------------------------------------
What's the fundraiser for?
Floods are devastating Pakistan. At least 1,100 people have died, and around 30 million are affected. More than a million homes have been destroyed or badly damaged, leaving many homeless and exposed to the elements. People need food, clean drinking water and shelter.
Entire communities have been swept away. The government of Pakistan estimates that a third of the country an area the size of the UK is under water. Schools, roads, crops and livelihoods are gone and conditions are expected to worsen as the rains continue.
DEC charities are already on the ground providing life-saving aid either directly or through local partners. But they urgently need more funds to reach more people.
People urgently need help. If you can, please donate now.
------------------------------------------------
Alex who designed Plinky and the team at Thonk have managed to scrape together enough parts to build four Plinkys! Rather than put these on sale, we decided to make some money for charity by holding a prize draw.
Plinkys have had supply chain issues for a long time now and we've been unable to make any kits for the last 2 years... it's looking hopeful however they will return later in 2023! However right now your best chance is to enter this competition or pay crazy money on Reverb! (don't pay crazy money on Reverb)
With 5000 people on the waiting list for Plinky, this felt like the fairest way to part with these four units whilst supporting a really important charity appeal.
How it works:
Each time you donate your name will be added to the prize draw. The more times you donate the higher your chance of winning a Plinky and the more people you help.
When the raffle ends at the end of December 20th 2022 we will pick four random donors. We will then get in touch with the winners to organise delivery in January 2023. All money from the fundraiser goes directly to DEC via Just Giving. This is a not for profit competition.
THE REALLY, REALLY, IMPORTANT BIT
You must tick the "I'm happy to share my contact details with ‘Plinkys for Pakistan’ for the purpose of thanking me" or you can't win!
Please ensure you enter your NAME and REAL EMAIL ADDRESS when prompted and TICK THE BOX 'I'm happy to share my contact details with ‘Plinkys for Pakistan’ for the purpose of thanking me' too, SO WE CAN CONTACT YOU IF YOU WIN. Your details will not be used for any other purpose. If you don't use your real email address then we cannot contact you and you cannot claim your prize. We won't add your email to a mailing list, show it publicly or do anything else with it. We won't give it to anyone else.
What the heck is a Plinky?
Plinky is a powerful 8 voice polyphonic touch synth that specialises in melancholic sounds to lose yourself in. This dream box puts expressive modulation of CS-80 style sounds and lush FX straight into your hands.

How do we decide who wins?
We will use a random competition generator to choose the four winners and post a video to our Instagram page showing the results.
If you win we will show your name publicly even if you opt to ''Hide donation amount from public view'', we will however NOT show your donation amount if you do win though.
The appeal finishes on December 20th 2022 and we aim to announce the winner before Christmas. If you win we will contact you to confirm before the end of 2022 and your prize will ship in January 2023.
