Story
"I love the inclusivity I see when new campers arrive. I love the enthusiasm the counselors and campers have when showing their new friends around teaching them the camp songs and sharing camp traditions. I love the message of empowerment given to children when they are here. The genuine encouragement to be their most authentic self, to struggle when doing something difficult, to know that even though struggling is not a comfortable space to be in, that it is worth it to get to the other side of the challenge. And to watch children learn their own personal grit and determination is incredible to witness." - Beth Dales, PVC Director
The Pleasant Valley Camp Committee and all the members of the camp board know the value that camp brings to a child's life. It is our goal to help improve the experience and program every year while also breaking down barriers that prevent children from coming to camp. We want everyone to have this incredible opportunity - because from our own personal experience, we know it is life-changing.
The Overnight Camp Staff are continuing to see a significant increase in scholarship applications because of the impact of COVID. This year, they are seeing a need totaling $350,000 to support scholarship applications. The funds that support this effort solely come from donations which is why we need your help!
Thanks to your donation, we will be able to remove financial barriers and create opportunities for hundreds of youth who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend camp this summer. We do realize we cannot do this alone which is why we ask for your support - every dollar matters and benefits a family in need. Thank you for paying it forward to the next generation.
