Local brothers from East London who have been playing football together for many years have decided to come together and raise much needed emergency funds for our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
insha-Allah, we aim to use our connection (brotherhood) and football to do what we can for the people of Palestine.
The people of Palestine are having to deal with continuous nights of airstrikes due to ongoing killing. Now is the time to help Gaza and its people.
Tensions are high and the people of Palestine are fearing for their lives. Recent air strikes on the Gaza Strip and terrible violence in Jerusalem at Al-Aqsa have left hundreds wounded and nearly 200 lives have already been lost. Palestine and its people are today dependent on outside aid.
Occupation of the land, the barrier constructed along and within the West Bank as well as land, air and sea blockades on Gaza, has strangled Palestine and its people.
Around 4 in 5 Gazans rely on donations for survival. Originally refugees, they are imprisoned behind concrete walls and humiliating military checkpoints. Despite the empty rhetoric, the suffering of the Palestinian people continues.
Ummah Welfare Trust delivers a range projects in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza strip. Orphans and hifdh students are sponsored; food vouchers and water programmes are implemented; and seasonal programmes always take place. Alhamdulillah, the charity’s trauma centre also provides free counseling and support to thousands of children.

Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity would strive to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.
