Story

Thank you for supporting Planet Aware's fundraising on behalf of WasteAid. Our goal is to raise £500 for this charity which does amazing work in countries by working with local communities to deliver waste management where there is none.

By doing this WasteAid is helping to tackle the problem of ocean plastic pollution by stemming the plastic tide.  The best bit is that donations made before the end of July will be DOUBLED thanks to match funding by UK Aid.

The money raised will help Help WasteAid empower people in poor parts of the world to capture ocean-bound plastic waste and turn it into useful products.

We walked and cleaned part of the south coast of the Isle of Wight on 27th June, removing 0.2 tonnes of waste.

We are lucky in the UK to be able to take part in beach cleans as we know the rubbish we collect will be removed and disposed of safely. Biffa Isle of Wight removed the rubbish we collected on 27 June.
