Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

London Marathon is a race I have wanted to run for a long time but have never been successful in obtaining a place, thanks to St Johns in Oct 2023 I will be achieving this by competing.

It is only through my daughter Caitlin joining St Johns in Cambridge and through attending various events throughout the UK, that I have been made aware of the amazing work and support St Johns gives to the community. Volunteers are at every event be it musical or athletic and give endless hours to ensure events remain a safe environment to be at. Caitlin has volunteered for the last 2 years at the London marathon and I am excited to not only run it this time, but to raise money and awareness to a charity that has always supported me behind the scenes as a runner. This is not to mention the work they undertake running youth groups and training opportunities for young people. St Johns is a warm and welcoming organisation and I am looking forward to assisting them with continuing with their work by fundraising.
