Technology has opened up a world of fun but sadly, many individuals with disabilities are unable to fully participate. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce my participation in the London Marathon, in support of SpecialEffect’s mission to level the playing field for everyone.

This event has been a long-standing item on my bucket list so having the chance to do it for a cause which holds a special place in my heart is amazing. For 26.2 miles on Sunday, 21 April 2024, I’ll be pounding the city’s pavements and aiming to reflect the resilience and determination shown by the individuals supported by the charity.

SpecialEffect empowers people with severe disabilities, enabling them to use technology for communication and leisure by adapting it to their individual needs. This can have a huge impact on mental wellbeing and self-esteem. Your donation, no matter the size, will help the charity continue providing expertise, assessments, equipment and lifelong support that bring joy, self-confidence and independence into hundreds of lives.
