Late last year we travelled to South Korea with Humane Society International (HSI) to see for ourselves the horrors of the dog meat trade. We are both devoted dog lovers so you can only imagine how it tested us - both emotionally & mentally. 

More than 170 beautiful dogs languishing in cages & destined for the dinner plate. But there was a happy ending for these dogs as we helped free them from their stinking cages for the very first time.

HSI is campaigning to end the dog meat trade all over the world & is making great progress in S.Korea. 

It's permanently closed down 12 dog meat farms so far, rescuing more than 1,300 dogs who were flown to the UK, United States & Canada to find their forever homes. One of those lucky pups was my little Bindi. Watching her transformation has been incredible.

With your help, we want to help HSI raise more money to help close their next dog meat farm and save more dogs. Their dog meat farm closures not only save lives but are also creating a model for change which will hopefully influence the government in S.Korea towards phasing out the industry for good.

The thought of saving these beautiful souls from being killed, cooked & eaten is all the motivation we need to drag our feet round the 13.1 mile half marathon course.
