Story
In March I turned 50. The number of steps that equates to climbing India’s highest peak, Kanchenjunga, is 50,000. With this synergy in mind, I am planning, on Friday, to walk 50,000 steps to raise desperately needed funds to help India cope with its new wave of Coronavirus infections. Please support me.
A devastating second wave of COVID-19 has engulfed India and children are under threat.New cases have soared to 350,000 a day. Many hospitals have run out of oxygen supplies and beds, leaving people to die on the roads outside. The knock-on effects for children could be horrific. Many will be left with no support, in danger of going without food and life-saving healthcare. Schools have closed, leaving children isolated and putting their mental health and wellbeing at serious risk.We have to act now. Your donation will allow Save the Children's response teams to react quickly to emergencies around the world such as the one unfolding in India right now.
