Myself and some other volunteers from around Scotland are embarking on a once in a life time hike to Machu Picchu in Peru. To embark on this challenging hike each participant must first raise a minimum target of £3,900 for MND Scotland, which I hope to smash through for this incredibly important cause! We will be leaving Scotland on the 2nd of September 2017 and returning on the 12th. This is in aid of MND Scotland which is a cause very close to my heart after one of my childhood best friends (Lucy Lintott) was diagnosed with motor neuron disease at the age of 19. Before Lucy was diagnosed I hadn't really heard of MND and wasn't too sure what it was but I now know that it is a debilitating disease that affects thousands of people, including my best friend Lucy, with no cure. Through this wonderful charity I want to help raise awareness of MND Scotland so they hopefully one day finding a cure for this disease.
