Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. I am only going to swim a mile, but Philippa, otherwise known as Phils, has to dialyse three times a week. It takes about 4 hours each time.  She works full time and the dialysis unit is always busy and more often than not, completely closed due to staff shortages, so she has to attend one further away.  Sometimes she's not home until midnight, and then up for work the next morning. She has to get to the unit, whether she likes it or not, rain, snow, broken-down-car, it doesn't matter, she has to get there. Phils lost her mum to kidney disease and she's on the transplant list, but it's a long wait and she doesn't complain.  The National Kidney Federation provides priceless support to Phils and people like her, every little bit of help is so gratefully received!  Please help them help her, and her fellow kidney patients.  Thanks.
