Each year I have done a challenge for charity, and this year is the BIG one! In April along with 100 others, I will be donning my walking boots and sun hat as I set out on a 62km trek across the Jordan desert. Hiking through canyons, the Black Mountains and highland desert terrain, I will start at the Dead Sea and finish in Petra. At night time, I'll be staying in Bedouin tents - with very basic loo facilities! But the views of the stars are meant to be amazing, which should more than make up for it!

I couldn't resist this challenge when I saw it in the Big Issue, especially as a very good friend and member of my congregation was cared for in the last days of her life in LOROS. LOROS is a fantastic place and I want to raise as much money as possible to support their wonderful work.
