"The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008. The JTYAF provides opportunities for young people to help them to develop as individuals and fulfill their ambitions in life as John was able to do." - JTYAF

This charity is very unique as it provides help for young people in a wide variety of ways and for a vast array of projects and ideas. The JTYAF have given grants and support for things like animal rescues, expeditions to Ghana to build schools, as well as for young people to follow their passion whether it be sports or music.
