We tackle poverty by supporting girls to learn, thrive, and lead change

Story

We are a group of 10 to 13 year olds and we belong to a youth organisation called Woodcraft Folk. Our group wanted to raise money for a charity and we chose CamFed because they make it possible for girls in Africa to attend school which will improve their lives in the future. CamFed's headquarters are in Cambridge, like us, and they came to give us a great talk about it.

To raise money we are going on a walking expedition: we will walk 25 miles over 2 and a bit days, carrying our gear on our backs. We will cook our own food and sleep in tents or under the stars. Some of us are quite small so although the distances are not huge it will be a big challenge.

We're sure you know it's safe and easy to donate via just giving, and CamFed can claim Giftaid too. Please support us!
