Story
Last year Students Against Hunger provided meals for over 600,000 people in our community! Due to Covid-19, the food insecurity rate in our service area has risen by an estimated 38%, equating to roughly 800,000 people not knowing when their next meal is going to come. The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina has decided to host Students Against Hunger this year; the need is more than ever before.
Last year Pine Hollow MS won first place in the middle school category for the SAH Food Drive, raising a total of 841 pounds of food and $3194. Together, we were able to help support 16,671 meals. This year we are setting the bar even higher, and would love your help! Please help us reach our goal of 20, 000 meals. We may not be together in person, but virtually we can unite to fight hunger in our community. Thank you for your support!
