On a 'hopefully' warm and sunny weekend at the end of June a small group of zealous individual's, (hard to believe but that does include myself!) will be taking part in 'Pimp my Peaks'. An expedition to climb the three largest mountains of our proud land, Grand Brittania! Oh, and I forgot to mention the important bit, we have to do it in just 24 hours!
The event will begin with the first assent of the largest mountain in Scotland, Ben Nevis. Standing at 4,409ft it is the largest of the three peaks to endure before driving down to take on the largest peak in England, Scafell Pike, situated in the Lake District and reaching to 3,209ft. The final assent will take us to Wales where we will be, probably desperately crawling by this point, up Mt Killaman-Snowdon! At 3,560 ft this will be the final assent. Did I mention we were planning to do all this in just 24 hours! Yes 24 hours!
It is with this in mind that I ask you to dig deep and sponsor the team – all monies raised go to Cancer Research, a charity which are saving lives on a daily basis by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. I’m sure you are all aware of their work, and what a good cause it is.
Thank you so much for your help,
The Pimp my peaks team
