As some of you know I became the Trustee of a great charity
running the ‘Empowering a Generation’ project where we hope to change countries and the world by empowering those without access, to university level education, particularly women (who as we know, often get left out when families can only afford to send one child to university as its always the eldest son).

There is so much work gone into this organisation including
the whole setup of a degree course and university structure (to allow us to collaborate with an existing university) to the creation of what we call ‘University in a Box’ which is a solar powered box, that contains a model and a battery to allow those in remote areas to use laptops and download lectures.

Now we have identified the first 25 ladies that will be our
test cohort. They come from the newest country in the World, South Sudan.

Together with the help of the British Government and NGO’s on the ground there, they have been interviewed and accepted and now we have the chance to get them thought International Business/Entrepreneurship degrees when they would otherwise
have been lost out of the system. We have the chance to give them tools, knowledge and resources to help them not only better their lives, but to empower those around them too.

We need £500/student to get them started and enrolled in
early 2023 (£2000 being the full cost per student/yr) and so on Friday 2^nd September I will start the 25 hr Pigeon Park Relay!

For 25 hours I will be continuously making rounds of the
famous cathedral and it’s lovingly named Pigeon Park. 25 hours as each hour represents one student on our first cohort.

HOWEVER! I do not have to do this alone…. I want you all to
come and help me! You can take the baton from me and complete some rounds on my behalf…. Giving me a nice rest!

I really hope that 25 companies will step up and sponsor
each hour for £500 so we can get the students enrolled (or maybe they donate £2000 for the full yr?!) and that everyone gets involved so that we have massive support and awareness of our project whilst raising funds for a really meaningful cause.
