The Gurkha Welfare Trust is the leading Gurkha charity. We provide financial, medical and community aid to relieve poverty and distress among retired Gurkha soldiers, their families and their wider communities.

Story

I have worked at The Gurkha Welfare Trust for over eight years and during this period have visited Nepal on six occasions, showing some of our supporters examples of the great work that the Trust carries out in the more remote areas of this wonderful country.  I am participating in Trailwalker for the second time since I started working for the Trust.  It is a challenging event, undoubtedly, but it is also a  rewarding and enjoyable way in which to raise money for a very good cause.  This year the GWT Platinum Jubilee Team will be raising money for two school projects.  One, Siddeshwar Basic School is situated in Parbat District, and the other, Maidan Secondary School is located in Syangja District.
