Hello,

 

I'm taking part in the Virgin London Marathon 2014 on 13/04/2014 to raise money for The Honeypot Children's Charity and I'd really appreciate your support.

Since 1996 The Honeypot Children's Charity has been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5 - 12 years by providing respite breaks and ongoing support.

Young cares are able to visit Honeypot House in the New Forest once a year to take a holiday with children going through similar experiences. At the Honeypot House they experience activities that other children take for granted, such as riding a bike, learning to swim or paddling at the beach. Honeypot's programme of long term personalised and consistent support is unique. Children leave Honeypot feeling confident, happy, relaxed and better able to cope with the challenges they face at home.

 

Any money raised from my Virgin Marathon run I hope will pay for many children to receive Honeypot support for a year, including a respite holiday at Honeypot House, up to three visits from our Playbus, a birthday card and a Christmas present.

Every Honeypot child receives this support annually, at a cost of £475 to the organisation.

£20 - A Christmas present for a Honeypot child

£100 - An outing for 12 Honeypot children e.g trip to the beach

£200 - All meals for 12 children on a repeat respite holiday

£475 - A whole year of Honeypot support for one child
