Story
In the UK today 8.4 million people, including 4.3 million children, are currently struggling to afford to eat. The Coronavirus crisis has sadly pushed 27% more people into food poverty and we need your help. Join our active challenge this October to get your body moving, whilst fundraising to help feed people in the Midlands who are living in food poverty. Our goal is to collectively reach 500 miles and raise enough money to distribute an extra 10,000 meals this October!
For the challenge I've decided to ditch the car for a week and jump back on the bike. This means clipping on the paniers and commuting everywhere on the two wheels and pedals, including the commute to work, shopping and heading to the pub! By doing this for a week, I'll be saving a whopping 88KG CO2 emissions generated by driving everywhere. There's no target set, but the work commute alone is 40 miles a day...let's hope I don't get called into another depot!
