Carrying a Piano Up a Mountain, 7 September 2020
We raise money to help treat & beat heart and lung disease

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I would like to raise money for the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital Charity - because they do an amazing job caring for people who desperately need lung and heart transplants.

They gave a close friend of mine a double lung transplant last year and they continue to support her recovery. I raised money for this charity last year also and spoke to countless people who told me stories of how the Harefield hospital have helped and saved loved ones.

For my challenge, it is my intention to carry a piano that weighs nearly 400lbs to the top of a mountain. I will have to carry it on my back for a distance of 2 miles up gradients of up to 30% (and then the piano will be taken back down).

Extreme care will be taken to preserve the mountain and ensure nothing will be left up there.

The event is scheduled to happen in September 2020, however due to the current situation, and weather conditions the date is subject to change. To assist safety and social distancing I will not be publishing the exact location, route or timings until the after the event is underway.
