Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I met Children of Fire’s children in 2014 and walked part of the Monopoly Moonwalk with them. This year I will walk again for this worthwhile cause. One in three of the children has been burned intentionally; 450 children from across Africa and even further afield, have been helped. Many medically could question the feasibility of improving the lives of children with such devastating injuries but the results speak for themselves. Among the children helped over the past 19 years there are now three studying medicine, one doing his articles as a lawyer, one who won medals at the 2012 Paralympics and many others who are bakers or plumbers or happily married with families of their own. The charity aspires to design and build its own hospital in the future but is currently obliged to seek surgery in other countries; surgery that Africa cannot provide.
