Story
It’s Rainbow Ramble time again. Last year I cycled a mile, the year before I walked a mile and this year I’m doing something a bit different.
A few years ago I asked the amazing team at Rainbow Hub to help me learn to jump. I absolutely loved being on a trampoline with my friends but I just couldn’t jump. My body wasn’t strong enough and my brain just wouldn’t work enough for me to work out how to do it.
I spent months learning and practising and eventually I did my first jump. It was amazing!!! I could finally play with my friends. Over the last few years I’ve been learning how to balance better and jump higher.
We can’t do the Rainbow Ramble as a family this year because it’s my little brother’s birthday and we’re getting a bouncy castle. So I’ve decided it will be a good idea to do my Rainbow Ramble challenge on the bouncy castle and I’m going to try and do 100 JUMPS!!!
I’ve only really done 10 jumps together and then I start getting tired so this is going to be really tough for me. I have one leg longer than the other, metal rods in my spine and have to wear special shoes because I have very weak ankles so it’s not as easy for me to jump as it is for other kids.
I’ve told my Mum I want to do my challenge as soon as the bouncy castle arrives because I want to enjoy the rest of the day!!! I want to do this challenge to raise money for an amazing charity that has helped me so much so that they can help other children learn to do things too.
If you can sponsor me I would really appreciate it. I don’t like letting people down so if people donate it will keep me going.
Thank you, for reading my page, thank you to everyone that sponsors me and thank you to the amazing people at Rainbow Hub.
Lots of love
Phoebe xx
