Fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Trust
I never thought I’d be saying this but this year I am running the London Marathon, and what makes it even more special is that I am doing it for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Some of you may know that my best friend Harriet had CF and heartbreakingly passed away when we were both 15. Harriet was the bravest, most courageous, and inspirational person I have ever met and will ever meet. I am by no means a runner, so this is going to be far the hardest thing I have ever done. To be running it in her memory is an honour and I will be channeling her strength to get me through. Every penny counts so anything you can donate would mean a lot. Thank you so much and this is for you Harriet ❤️
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing. Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
