Story

Hi all,

Thank you for taking time to visit my just giving page.

I have set myself a goal to run a half marathon this year, so I will be taking part in the Royal Parks Half, on 8th October 2023. I’ve completed one half marathon before, which I found very challenging. I’m definitely not a natural runner, so this will be a big goal for me.

I wanted to raise money for Breast Cancer UK as I have a close loved one who is currently undergoing breast cancer treatment. I also have other family members who have previously undergone breast cancer treatment. I want to do this for those family members who I am extremely grateful for.

Breast Cancer UK has set me a target to raise £500. Please help me to achieve this, so that we can support such an incredible charity.

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Over 55,000 women and 390 men a year are diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet around a third of these cases are preventable. Breast Cancer UK is working to prevent breast cancer through education, scientific research, collaboration and policy change.     Breast Cancer UK provides practical advice and tips on how we can reduce our risk. They campaign for changes to national health policies to support prevention, and fund research to help improve our understanding of how to stop the disease.

Lots of love,

Phoebe x
