Story
I'm running my second Hackney Half partly because I want to enjoy the celebrations after, partly because of peer pressure, and mainly because it is a pretty good opportunity to fundraise for a pretty cool charity called ACT.
ACT helps people sleeping rough in Oxford or leaving local prisons. Through street outreach, meals, prison work, mentoring and housing, they support people to get back on track.
Paul, an ACT resident, has said 'It is nothing short of a miracle that I am where you find me. ACT offers the full package of physical, mental, financial and spiritual support. The feeling of acceptance and belonging are ripe with the love of God. ACT are the epitome of HOPE.'
