Story
From January-April 2012 I will be in Bangladesh participating in the 'Global Xchange' programme run by VSO and the British Council. Global Xchange is at the centre of efforts to combat poverty and inequality, and is now part of the International Citizen Service (ICS).
As part of my commitment to the programme I have to raise £1000, which will go towards supporting the work of VSO and will enable VSO to continue sending volunteers, like me, to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged and impoverisehd communities.
In my efforts to fundraise for VSO and raise awareness of their good work I will be giving a concert at 7:30pm on 6th December at Muswell Hill Baptist Church (N10 2PT), to which everyone is welcome! Entry will be free, so please donate now if you can. I also hope to run the London marathon in April 2012, but this depends on whether it is safe to train whilst in Bangladesh.
Every penny counts and all the money I raise wil go straight to VSO. I really need your help to reach my target and play my part in fighting povery through VSO!
For more information about VSO or the Global XChange programme please feel free to contact me. To find out more about what I will be doing in Bangladesh, please copy and paste the following link: http://www.globalxchange.org.uk/Pages/YA-Team-Bangladesh.aspx
