On 23rd September 2020, my Grandad lost his very short and brave battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Lung Cancer is one of life’s cruelest killers, with symptoms often not appearing until it is too late.

Losing my Grandad has been heartbreaking. He had a zest for life, he was the life and soul of the party, he was selfless, funny, hard-working, loving, and he was my best friend. I’m raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the UK’s only lung cancer charity, in his memory. 

I’m setting myself a challenge to cycle 1,381 miles. This is the distance from Bristol, Rhode Island (my Grandparents’ first home in the US) to Osprey, Florida (the last place my Grandad called home). I’ll reach this distance by completing a range of endurance, Tabata and HIIT challenges on my Peloton bike.
