Story
I am recently recovering from an ACL reconstruction surgery and being able to run a 5K again has been one of my goals. Lockdown has been really hard on everyone, so I want to try and do my bit by helping charities more often. I forget how fortunate I am to be in the position that I am in, so I want to try and support people by doing anything I can to help.
Rainbow Trust Children's Charity enables families who have a child with a life threatening illness to make the most of precious time together; providing expert practical and emotional support, where they need it, for as long as it is needed. £26 will provide one hour of care, enough time to entertain a seriously ill child so that their parents can have a break. £182 pays for a days visit from a Family Support Worker which allows parents to do chores, look after other family members, relax or simply sleep. £1,780 is the average cost of support for a family with a seriously ill child for a year.
