Story
I have finally managed to get out and about and started running along the roads of Knowle and Dorridge. I have managed an 21.6 mile run, which is my longest to date for my training for the Virgin London Marathon! and ever actually. It was hard work but enjoyable when I managed to get home! Only another 4.6 miles and I have run a marathon.
If you see me running along the road, please beep your horn or give me a wave as the support really helps.
This really is the biggest challenge I have faced. I have run half marathons including the Great North Run but I have never run a full marathon before and although the training is hard I am fully commited to raising funds for this fantastic charity that does so much to help disabled children.
The charity hair and fashion show that we organised with my running partner and good friend Enzo on the 8th March 2010 at Hogarths in Dorridge went really well. I would like to thank Della for all her work in organising the event and to all the people who helped, donated a prize, their time or attended, a massive thank you for all your support.
We raised £2500 on the night and Whizz-Kidz share of this money is shown within the off-line donations - so thank you again everyone!!
Whizz-Kidz is a charity that is all about giving disabled children the chance to lead a more independent life. Their service meets their individual mobility needs and ensures they get the right mobility equipment, advice and training at the right time.
Whizz Kidz are virtually 100% reliant on voluntary funds raised through events, trusts, companies and individuals and need your support to raise more money so that more young people can lead an active childhood.
