History
Phil's Ride started in 2016 as a memorial ride for Phil Beeton who sadly lost his life in an RTC in October 2015. Due to the swift action of the EAAA, they were instrumental in saving Phil's nephews life by airlifting Jack to Addenbrokes Hospital.
Despite the torrential rain that plagued the riders, Phil's Ride 2018 was a resounding success and raised an astonishing £16,780.81. This year, once again, we're going to be cheeky and try for just 1p more than last year, so every penny counts.
Phil's Ride 2019
This year's start there is a slight break from tradition in that we'll be starting from Southery Playing Field for a very important reason. The EAAA will be landing one of their helicopters for the event and the Old White Bell car park is simply not big enough for it to land.
Unless called out on an emergency, the 'Helimed' will be with us from 11.00am to 12.30pm and it's departure will herald the departure of the riders.
Taking Part
Simply turn up on Sunday the 25th Aug at Southery Playing Field (Sat Nav postcode: PE380NB) from 11am onwards along with your 2 wheeled vehicle of choice, register at the registration desk, either pop your donation in the bucket (we suggest a minimum of £5 per person) or hand over your sponsorship form with your monies, and join in the ride. Remember, we'll be departing at 12.30. Car parking will be available at the village hall and opposite the Old White Bell.
