Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my second London2Brighton challenge after taking part in 2014 I decided to go again this year. I am going to be walking from London to Brighton over the bank holiday weekend 23-24th May.

I am fundraising for Age UK Hertfordshire the wonderful charity that I work for which is dedicated to helping older people in Hertfordshire. I passionately believe in the great work that the charity does and fundraising is vital to ensure that they can carry on supporting older people.

Last years challenge was without a doubt the hardest and most physically and emotionally draining experience of my life! I am not generally into that much physical exertion and my weekly fitness regime usually involves staggering around a five a side football pitch for an hour. Last year however I did take the challenge seriously and did lots of training, walking in excess of 300km in training over several months. This meant spending every weekend walking for several hours, whilst training I got to find out where the blisters appear! The actual challenge in 2014 was filled with highs and lows, it took me just under 30 hours in the end walking day and night.

This year I want to do it all over again, hopefully my body will hold out as I want to beat last years time by at least an hour. So, please help us out, donate whatever you can, even £1 will be a great help towards my target.

Thanks alot
