Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The  Aspire Channel Swim is one part of my 2014 Charity fundraising.  I'll also be trying to shed some of my 19 stones of weight. 

My dad has amazed his grandchildren in the past with tales of how he once swam all the way from Britain to Egypt surviving on nothing more than sausage rolls and ginger beer and of another time when he surfed from Britain to Africa with their mother following behind in a canoe feeding him sandwiches and biscuits!

I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never match these (amazing) feats and will always live in his shadow as far as the children are concerned!

However, you never know this could be the start of my own grandfather to grandchildren legend! Please do drop by over the weeks to see whether I succeed.
