Story
I am running the great north run in memory of my goddaughter Maisie Eleanor Graham. Maisie sadly passed away on the 15 May 2011 after contracting Meningococcal Septicaemia, aged just 2 years old . If you take the time to read other people's stories on Maisie's justgiving page, each will say how bright, kind, generous and charismatic she was, but to me most of all she was a very special friend. I always looked forward to spending time with Maisie, she always made my day and never failed to bring a smile to my face. I was hounoured to be Maisie's godfather and also to have her as flower girl on my wedding day. She shone a light on my life and I will treasure the memories I have of her. I am running to raise money for meningitis research foundation so hopefully one day a cure can be found to prevent anybody suffering the consequences of this brutal disease.
