Story
Hi,
Have I told you that one of my nieces was born with an upper limb deficiency? You might not because whenever I mention her it is more usually to explain who it was that beat me up on the weekend or who "entertained" me with her pet tarantula one morning. But she has her problems to cope with and Reach are the charity that help not just her but the rest of her family too. So this is why when my brother-in-law suggested that I might like to do a sponsored walk as a fundraiser I said yes.
Unfortunately I didn't read the smallprint and have now signed up to trek from Lukla to Everest Base camp and back via Kalapatthar (over about 12 days). Google maps says this is just 96.8km and should be done in about 21 hours and 47 minutes. I don't trust google maps so much these days.
If you know me then you probably know I'm not exactly an athletic type so this is going to be a real challenge just to do the training. So why not donate some dosh to help me feel like it is all worth while?
