Freddie Studd (02.02.19)

Danielle Studd (09.06.85 - 11.06.85)

10th May 2019 should have been the due date of my beautiful nephew, Freddie. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, I found myself delivering a loving tribute on behalf of his parents, my brother and sister-in-law, at his funeral. A tragedy that echoed that of my own parents, 34 years ago, when they too lost their first child, my older sister Danielle aged just two days old.

To mark Freddie’s short presence in the world, Remember My Baby, provided some comforting and heart warming moments with the family to keep as momentos of the short time he spent with us. Memories which we will all treasure for a lifetime.

To honour his name and that of my sister Danielle (who although I never met has always been ever present and remembered in our family), I am attempting to run 5k a day between Freddie’s due date (10.05) and Danielle’s birthday (09.06).

I hope to raise money for Remember My Baby so that other families who are experiencing the same grief that we have suffered in these last few weeks and months can also take comfort, as we have done, from those precious shared moments together.
